Please Click Herefor invitation to attend a Strategic planning workshop to be held next Friday November 20^th form 3-5pm @ the South West Sports Centre Bunbury looking at the future of athletics in particular Little Athletics in regional WA. These workshops facilitated by Rick Smith have been run in the Perth Metro centres over the last couple of months.

With the congregation of all the regional centres in Bunbury for the 2015 Little Athletics Country Championships Nov 21-22 WALA would like run a workshop to get the input of anyone involved with Little Athletics in regional WA. It is open to parents, coaches, sports administrators, Sports Teachers and with many regional Little Athletics centres coming to Bunbury for the weekend it is hoped a good number of centre administrators can be in attendance.

It is also worth noting that a recent independent review into Athletics in Australia found that the were major issues with the sports governance through the different tiers of the sport and have put forward 16 recommendations that need to be actioned.  WALA  strongly encourage you to take to time to go through the review, or at least the Executive Summary  (http://www.athletics.com.au/News/Archive/Archive-List/independent-review-of-athletics-1)  to raise awareness of the review and to enhance member contribution to WA Little Athletics Strategic Planning.

Country Championships

21 and 22 November 2015 in Bunbury. This competition is held annually at a different country centre each year and brings together athletes from Country Centres all over the State of Western Australia. Nominations are due in by the 14th November 2015
